She slips into the bathroom and splashes warm water on to her face. She looks at herself in the mirror. She goes back into the bedroom and lies down.
In a moment Carl wakes; and begins to make some noise. She picks him up and brings him to the bed. She lies down and places him next to her.
It's not too long after when she decides that things are only getting worse staying in the hotel. Lying, staring at the ceiling, waiting, is not what she needs.
